Bombay, Sazarac & Tony Seville

This evening’s final stop for Jazz On The Rocks (JOTR) tourwas Bombay Club on Conti where Tony Seville was absolutely smooth with his multi-instrument one man show.

Tony plays trumpet, flute, sax, latin percussion and keyboards. Sometimes trading instruments during a number. Think jazz threaded with all kinds of popular music, from blues and Latin to R & B, jazz, and New Orleans standards. Santana back-to-back with Louis Armstrong.

Tour visitor*, David from Ottawa, Ontario enjoyed Bombay’s take on the classic Sazerac served in squat, etched stemware reminiscent of his grandmothers collection. I absolutely agreed. My grandmother would have served strawberries in them not Sazeracs.

*Professionally my clients are always referred to as visitors never tourists
