Since 2012 New Orleans Music Tours LLC has created unique tour events that inform and entertain. The legends of the birth of Jazz, the first Rock ‘n’ Roll recording and African rhythms are most often thought of as New Orleans music. We then sprinkle in the links from Opera, Gospel, funerals and celebrations in the streets, the lesser known influences on American popular music.  The Music Gumbo tour is a 2.5 hour tour that covers it all.  It’s a great for adults, family, teens or high-school bands, everyone loves it.

This is a wonderful tour for students and group travel and convention and the tour planners love it,. All within the 32-acre bounds of Louis Armstrong National Jazz Park is the history of New Orleans music and development of jazz. It’s New Orleans Music Tours LLC Armstrong Park Music Tour

Across Rampart Street from the French Quarter, Armstrong Park is easy to get to by foot or bus.  By late 2017 a new streetcar route will be running from Canal Street up Rampart with stops near park entrances.

Tour organizers love  the park because it is easy to keep an eye on your groups following separate guides. Forget about the hustle and bustle of beer trucks and crowded sidewalks of the French Quarter. The park has double-wide sidewalks, shady oak and palm trees, iron benches, stairways and grassy hills to rest on. The coolest outdoor summer tour in New Orleans tour.

Add a very special African Drum & Dance that your clients will love for only $450

Your tour group will return to Congo Square for a hands-on African Drum & Dance Circle. Everyone in your group can participate in learning and performing the music and dance that were central to the Sundays of freedom allowed to enslaved African under colonial French and Spanish law

Our standard tours combine story telling and historic recordings at legendary sites in the French Quarter and nearby Armstrong Park. For a truly unique experience for your group we take them to outdoor historic music settings or an indoor historic musical landmark for live music performance, dance and celebration.

Walking, bus or combination tours for VIP, conference, international and schools. As part of the Americana Music Triangle we are a must for groups traveling the roots of music tour from Nashville to Memphis, New Orleans and all points in-between.
